SCCA Speed World Challenge

Just wanted to share some pictures I found from the first race of the SCCA Speed World Challenge race.

The K-Pax Racing Porsche 997 GT3 Cup cars. I stopped by 3R Racing one day when they were preparing these cars for the race.

Brandon Davis goes to my school. I’ve been following his racing. He raced the touring cars last year and now races in the GT class.

GTCC Tsukuba Event

I found this at Auto Otaku. Cool picture of a race with some Evo’s in it.

The GTCC events feature several different race groups divided into classes based on both engine type and the degree of modification. This makes more for a wide variety of cars and some very close racing action.

McLaren MP4-23

McLaren is the second team to unveil its 2008 challenger following Ferrari’s launch of their F2008 yesterday.

EvoX at Tsukuba!

After waiting for a while, the EvoX has now been spotted at Tsukuba. They look good out there.

Evo Drifting

I don’t really like drifting, but it is entertaining and I can enjoy it. I love this Evo built by JUN Auto in Japan. Very nice, even if it drifts. I guess the D1 Grand Prix started off with their final event of the season on Saturday. And I wonder who won.

Super Lap Battle @ Buttonwillow

The HKS evo flew in from Japan to make a first appearance in the USA the other day. The HKS car set the fastest time ever of 1:43.5. The word is the previous record around Buttonwillow was 1:48.xxx. So the CT230R was FAST!

Nice NSX

I use to believe the AMS Evo was fast; and it is with a 1:48.xxx. But after being beat by the HKS CT230R Evo, suddenly the AMS Evo doesn’t seem as fast, or maybe it shows that HKS built a truly amazing machine.

Hamilton :(

I watched the Chinese GP live, and then watched the repeat again later. I still couldn’t believe that Lewis Hamilton went off the tack entering the pits. I was shocked when I saw this.
