Just wanted to share some pictures I found from the first race of the SCCA Speed World Challenge race.
The K-Pax Racing Porsche 997 GT3 Cup cars. I stopped by 3R Racing one day when they were preparing these cars for the race.
Brandon Davis goes to my school. I’ve been following his racing. He raced the touring cars last year and now races in the GT class.

I found this at Auto Otaku. Cool picture of a race with some Evo’s in it.
The GTCC events feature several different race groups divided into classes based on both engine type and the degree of modification. This makes more for a wide variety of cars and some very close racing action.

The long wait is over for Gumball 3000 fans around the world as the official route for this year’s has been announced. The 10th anniversary rally will begin in San Francisco on the 9th of August, working its way through the West Coast of North America and stopping in San Deigo and Las Vegas before flying to China in time for the Beijing Olympics just eight days later.
Last year’s rally was canceled due to a car accident involving a Porsche 911 Turbo and a Volkswagen Golf, which led to the untimely death of a passing motorist in Albania. This year’s event should bring back the excitement of the Gumball rally, with an estimated 120 vehicles set to fly aboard three of the world’s largest Antonov Cargo Planes plus a scheduled stop-over in North Korea as part of a global ‘friendship’ initiative.
Participants will once again arrive in a wide array of vehicles to compete in the latest rally. These normally range from Lamborghini’s and Ferrari’s to the seemingly out of place Volkswagen Kombi Van. Nonetheless, with an entry fee of £60k per car – which includes everything throughout the eight day trek apart from any fines – the event is sure to make everyone turn their heads, especially local police authorities.

In 1973, America, Western Europe and Japan were suffering through the adverse effects of an OPEC-triggered oil crisis. The ‘73 oil crisis caused major concern worldwide about rising fuel prices, gasoline rationing and long lines at the pump. Even motorsports’ biggest spectacles, such as the Daytona 500 and the Indy 500, made modifications to their events to reflect the trend in fuel conservation that year.

In a climate so clearly concerned with economizing, the founding fathers of HKS Japan must have had a tremendous amount of guts and fortitude to open an automotive high-performance parts manufacturing company in 1973. With such a fearless attitude, it’s no wonder HKS has been releasing groundbreaking products for the last three and half decades.
This past January 27, HKS threw a huge festival at Fuji Speedway to celebrate 35 years of being in business. The party was action packed from the get-go. Both the main circuit and drift course had constant action throughout the day.

Blitz Evo X looked rather plain at the TAS. It did have the new BRW Profile wheels. Still looks really clean. That’s how U should put it, instead of mentioning that it is plain, which it is not.

Endless / Zeal / Ewig at the Toyko Auto Salon. Here is a picture of the new monoblock caliper that Endless now offers. I suspect this is a caliper to compete with the Brembo GTR line of brakes. I love the detail on the bell.
Some of the cars present at the Endless booth. Notice on the R35 Enkei’s new 2-piece version of the GTC01.

This is was Advan’s display at the Toyko Auto Salon. I wish I could have a wheel collection like that!
Here is a close-up picture of the new Advan RZ. I really like this wheel a lot. Some people has mistaken it for the Advan RS wheel, but there is such a huge difference, I’m not sure how it could be mistaken.
Advan AVS Model T7. This wheel has been out for a while, but I was never that popular. I was browsing pictures from the TAS and noticed the wheels on an R35. I have to say this wheel design is amazing when it’s on a car.
