Subaru Rally Team USA driver Travis Pastrana had victory snatched shockingly away from him in the final moments of the SnoDrift Rally, Round 1 of the 2008 Rally America National Championship, when a deer collided into his Subaru Impreza WRX STI rally car.
Video of the Nissan GT-R V-Spec doing some tests. Sounds soooo good. The base model R35 already has beat the Corvette Z06, I wonder if the V-Spec will beat the Z71? We’ll have to wait and see.
It has been reported before that Nissan is working on both a club racer and a V-spec version of the GT-R but we never really knew whether they were different models or the same with different names till now. Something like the Porsche GT3 and the GT3-RS, the two zilla’s are both very different beasts and that the V-Spec variant will be similar to previous versions. A 220-pound weight reduction and 30 more horsepowers with upgraded binders and suspension components are among the upgrades for the V-Spec variant. The racing version like the GT3-RS, is equipped with a full roll cage, a significantly revised suspension and of course, a nice set of Volk TE37s. When these two beasts will be offered to the rich is an open question, but check out the video of the production-based racer making the rounds in the Video’s section.
Here’s a buddy of mine’s WRX. I’m sure you’ve all seen it at one time or another, but it was in Import Tuner a while ago and then he radically changed everything on it. He has also runs Brainchildcustoms.com. I ordered my Zeal coilovers from him and he was very helpful and nice. He constantly kept me updated with the progress. Anyway, last I talked to him I believe he is going to throw a Voltex wing on the back along with a Gram Lights front bumper. Peep his car out.
I just thought I would post another picture of my beautiful DV/DT front mount intercooler kit. The pipes are nice and polished. I will try to touch up around the welds so it has a more uniform shine. Enjoy these pictures of it off the car, because I plan to install it this weekend.
If you are considering purchasing anything from DV/DT but are hesitant about the price or suffering from cognitive dissonance- don’t. Albert at DV/DT Fabrications is extremely nice and helpful. I will spend more money with him in the future. He offers quality products.
A while ago I posted a very cool video that explained the production process of Rays Engineering wheels (here). Now here is the same video but oh how BBS manufactures their wheels.
This particular Evo caught my browsing eye a couple days ago. I don’t agree with the SSR wheels but the car looked nice. It has the CWest body kit and apparently has Zeal coilovers.
I like Mazda RX7’s. My friend John has one with a GT35r and some other things on it. I’ll be frank, I don’t know a lot about the rotary engines that they have. But this black RX7 really caught my eye. I like the style it has, and the Volk RE30’s look really nice on it too.
